Allen & Overy advises Eli Global on buying finanzen.de AG

Allen & Overy LLP has advised US-based Eli Global LLC (Eli) on buying finanzen.de Vermittlungsgesellschaft für Verbraucherverträge AG (finanzen.de) and its subsidiaries in Germany, France, the UK and Switzerland from BlackFin Capital Partners and the founders of finanzen.de.
Finanzen.de is a successful InsurTech company which has its registered office in Berlin and is one of the leading European online marketplaces for end-consumer leads in the finance and insurance sector.
The purchase of finanzen.de represents Eli's first transaction in Germany and the first company in Eli's new portfolio for financial and insurance-related services which is to comprise a diversified mix of companies offering such services and aims to cover various sectors and sub-sectors. Closure of the transaction is subject to regulatory clearance and is expected to take place in the course of the year. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
