Ulrike Stimmel
Senior Knowledge Lawyer
Ulrike, a German lawyer (Rechtsanwältin), joined the firm as an associate in 2001. She has gained broad experience in litigation for both domestic and international clients in several areas of law.
Since 2007, she has been a professional support lawyer, working for the dispute resolution and IP teams and in knowledge management. She informs the teams about new developments, conducts internal training, prepares external talks and articles and maintains the knowledge collections. She also assists her colleagues in their client work, e.g. by responding to tricky questions of law. Her specialisms are cross-border litigation issues and conflicts of laws. In addition to her legal work, Ulrike co-ordinates knowledge management within A&O Shearman Germany. She helps other teams how to best collect, share and promote knowledge, and she is actively involved in A&O Shearman’s global knowledge systems projects.
