Paul Burns

Paul's broad experience, reflecting time as general counsel at several companies as well as an Allen & Overy partner, contributes to his ability to give practical advice that works from a business perspective. Paul joined Allen & Overy’s corporate practice from a leading New York firm in 2001, serving in both the New York and London offices. Paul has held various strategic GC roles over the past ten years in the life sciences, energy and technology sectors. He spent five years at Novartis in various positions based in Switzerland – first as General Counsel of the company’s Consumer Division business worldwide. He later became the General Counsel of Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Following his various in-house leadership roles, Paul re-joined Allen & Overy’s corporate practice in New York.
