Jason Rix

Knowledge Counsel

Jason has a varied commercial litigation focus which includes AI liability, conflict of laws, contract law, data protection, digital assets, group litigation, privilege and state immunity. 

A while back now, Jason was seconded to BT. This experience still serves as a vivid reminder of what it is like in-house.

He has participated in several working committees of the Financial Markets Law Committee covering a variety of topics: "Distributed Ledger Technology and Governing Law: Issues of Legal Uncertainty" (2018), "Response: Law Commission Call for Evidence on Digital Assets" (2021) and "Duties of Good Faith in Wholesale Financial Contracts" (2022).

In 2016, he set up Compact Contract, a blog focused on English contract law.
