Arthur is a senior associate in the Banking & Finance team based in Dubai, with over 14 years of experience in the legal industry. 

He has extensive experience advising banks, international financing institutions and corporations on a wide range of domestic and international financings across Europe, CIS and Middle East. Arthur’s practice focuses on syndicated lending, acquisition finance, real estate finance, leveraged finance, export credit finance, as well as refinancing and debt capital markets transactions.

Arthur has completed half-year on secondment to a leading Middle East bank based in Dubai, where he provided legal support and advice on various banking and finance matters as an in-house lawyer.

Representative matters

K-sure and the covered lenders on a USD660m financing to an oil company’s subsidiary in Uzbekistan in respect of the construction of its gas processing complex.

The Korean ECAs and the twenty commercial lenders on the financing of the Government of Turkmenistan’s USD1.8bn ethane cracker and polyethylene plant in Kiyalny, Turkmenistan.

A major CIS bank in relation to the financing of the construction of a hotel complex in Turkey.

A European bank in relation to the financing of the construction of an energy plant in the CIS.
