​With a strong economy and a thrifty population, Germany is now, more than ever, an attractive target market for fund
managers wishing to win further assets for their funds. However, despite EU legislators’ endeavours to harmonise the legal framework for the marketing and selling of UCITS and AIF products, the rules under German law differ substantially from those in other European countries.
