Jennifer specialises in a wide range of work in commercial, banking, restructuring and insolvency law. She advises generally on issues arising in taking and enforcing of security, structuring transactions to mitigate against the effects of insolvency and cross-border restructuring transactions. She has recently advised a large number of counterparties of Lehman Brothers and the Icelandic banks following the failure of those entities. In particular, she is advising two of the parties in the Lehman Brothers International (Europe) client money directions application. 

Jennifer is also responsible for keeping clients up to date with recent developments including the European Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings and the new legislation in relation to failing banks, and has given a number of presentations in this regard. She is the General Editor of a Sweet & Maxwell publication entitled “European Cross Border Insolvency”.

Jennifer is a member of the Investment Firm Insolvency Group, a working group established by HM Treasury pursuant to powers conferred under the Banking Act to consider investment firm failure.
