Stephen heads the firm's Banking practice in Russia. He has a broad finance practice covering both banking and debt capital markets. He has wide-ranging general banking expertise featuring leverage, trade, export credit agency, aircraft and shipping finance and syndicated lending, as well as consensual and contentious financial restructuring. His practice features leading roles on asset and mortgage-backed securities issuances, collateralised debt obligations, equity and credit-linked note issuances, bespoke asset-based lending structures and derivatives trades. In addition, Stephen advises clients in relation to straight debt securities issuances, including Eurobonds and medium-term note programmes.
Stephen is permanently based in Moscow and is recognised as one of the leading finance lawyers in the Russian market by the Legal 500, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe and IFLR1000 directories. He was also nominated as one of the world's leading practitioners by The International Who's Who of Banking Lawyers 2012.
