Peter specialises in acquisition finance, secured transactions, restructuring and workouts, asset finance and international financial transactions, private equity, leveraged and management buyouts. He is author of the chapter 'Financing the Acquisition', in M&A in Belgium, published in 2001 by Kluwer Law International. Before joining the firm, he spent five years with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York and Brussels.

Peter was named a Leading Individual in Chambers Europe in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
