Hilde specialises in international arbitration and corporate and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on projects, energy and construction arbitration. Her practice covers the full range of dispute resolution, with an emphasis on contractual liability, (financial) product liability and M&A-related disputes.

She has represented clients in numerous national and international arbitrations under various institutional rules. In addition, she also has extensive experience in court litigation across a wide range of sectors.

Hilde was a member of the committee responsible for drafting the current NAI Arbitration Rules, which became effective from 1 January 2015. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Dutch Arbitration Association, the Chair of the Advisory Board of the Dutch Arbitration Institute, and a member of ICC Netherlands’ committee on Arbitration and ADR. In addition to acting as arbitration counsel, she also regularly acts as arbitrator (sole, panel and chair).

Hilde’s profile and reputation have been recognized in both national and international rankings. Legal 500 currently ranks her as a Next Generation Partner for both arbitration and commercial litigation: the only person in the Netherlands ranked in both categories. She is recognised by Who’s Who Legal Arbitration as a Future Leader (previously in the non-partner category). Chambers Europe have ranked her a Band 3 Arbitration Counsel in the Netherlands.

Hilde regularly speaks and lectures on arbitration and dispute resolution, particularly in the construction and energy sectors. She is also a lecturer at the National and International Contracting specialization course of Grotius Academy.
