Etay advises a wide range of financial services providers (banks, building societies, investment managers and securities dealers) on the implications of the regulatory regime for existing and new products and on strategic corporate transactions (including a focus on regulatory capital). Etay was seconded, in 2000, to the UK Financial Services Authority, and is a frequent writer and speaker on matters relating to financial services regulation in the UK. Etay has been identified as a leading practitioner in Legal 500 2012 Edition. Recent experience includes advising Virgin Money on the regulatory implications of significant M&A transactions, the Co-operative Bank on its Recovery and Resolution Programme and AFME on its response to the FSB's consultation on Shadow Banking. Etay is the author of a chapter in Oxford University Press' prominent publication Financial Services Law and is the General Editor of Oxford University Press' Financial Services Regulation in Europe.
