Christiaan specialises in corporate law and notarial related law. He has experience in advising on a wide range of corporate issues including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, corporate structures, IPOs, and anti-takeover devices. His field of expertise also includes corporate and structured finance transactions, incorporation of companies and partnerships, voting trusts, share transfers, capital contributions, share buy-back programmes, employee participation plans as well as the setting up and regulatory aspects of investment institutions. Christiaan has been with Allen & Overy since January 2000. Prior to that he worked at Loeff Claeys Verbeke from 1998. He graduated in 1988 from the Free University of Amsterdam and completed postgraduate studies in European Law both at the Centre Européen Universitaire de Nancy and at the University of Nancy II, Nancy, France (1989). In 1999 he worked for an American law firm in Chicago.
