Alex is an Associate in the IP Litigation and International Brands practices at Allen & Overy. He advises innovative clients on the protection of their intellectual property, with a focus on brands, particularly in strategic or sensitive contentious situations.

Alex’s experience includes high-profile brand and trade mark issues and copyright disputes (particularly in a digital context).  He also has advised on matters relating to patents in the pharmaceutical, hi-tech and mechanical sectors; trade secrets, advertising, regulatory and defamation disputes; and commercial IP arrangements including JVs and collaborations, licensing and insolvency-proofing.
Alex has a particular interest in the intersection of law with disruptive digital technology and trends, including AI / machine learning, new ways of distributing and consuming content, and the Internet of Things.
