Jim Ford ranked in OUTstanding 100 LGBT+ Executives list for third time

30 October 2019

LONDON: Partner and Chair of A&O's international LGBT+ network A&Out, Jim Ford, has been recognised in the LGBT+ 100 Executives list for the third year running.  The 2019 list, published today, recognises the achievements of LGBT+ people in the business community. Jim is ranked at number 27, included for his work as a visible senior role model and in profile raising LGBT+ initiatives within the firm.

Jim has been instrumental in influencing A&O policy to promote LGBT+ inclusion, working with Stonewall to ensure a global approach to A&Out and has led the successful launch of the firm's first LGBT+ allies group, among many more initiatives. Outside of A&O Jim is a board member for Diversity Role Models, a Stonewall Ambassador and has co-led a team providing pro bono legal advice to Stonewall on Turing's Law.  He is a regular speaker and mentor for LGBT+ professionals, and provides pro bono legal advice to Queer Britain.

Founder & CEO of INvolve, Suki Sandhu OBE, says, “We’re delighted to be celebrating another fantastic group of people from across the globe who are collectively driving cultural change and creating workplaces where everyone can succeed. LGBT+ discrimination is still prevalent in a lot of the world’s biggest economies, but highlighting the work of successful role models changes people’s perceptions. They demonstrate that you can be successful and out at work, but most importantly inspire the next generation of LGBT+ leaders.”
