Jin Hee Kim Joins as Partner in Allen & Overy’s Leveraged Finance Practice

15 July 2019

Furthering their growth in the U.S., Allen & Overy today announced that Jin Hee Kim joined the firm’s Leveraged Finance practice as partner, based in New York.

The addition of Jin Hee’s expertise will further increase the New York team’s established bench depth and ability to advise multiple arrangers on large and complex debt financings.

“Jin Hee brings over a decade of experience counseling clients in the leverage finance industry and will be an asset to the continued growth of our practice. As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve and transaction financing becomes more complex, we are glad to continue adding subject matter expertise talent to our team,” said Michael Chernick, Partner and Co-Head of the U.S. Leveraged Finance Group at Allen & Overy.

Jin Hee joins from Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP where she was a Counsel in the firm’s Corporate Practice and gained extensive experience advising clients on complex U.S. and international syndicated loan transactions, acquisition financings and asset-based lending transactions. She specializes in dealing with issues specific to UCC Article 9 secured financings in loan and securities transactions, as well as advising creditors on complex cross-border intercreditor issues. Jin Hee received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law school and her Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.

Since 2016, Allen & Overy has made significant investments, by bringing on leading practitioners in the industry to its U.S. Bank Finance, International Capital Markets and Global Leverage Finance practices, elevating and broadening the firm’s capabilities in this space. The most recent addition will expand the team to seven bank finance partners and two international capital markets partners.
