Sarah focuses on digital transformation and technology related projects across a wide range of sectors, including strategic partnership agreements, software-as-a-service offerings, complex outsourcing transactions (including data centre outsourcing), cloud computing, software licensing, as well as on technology driven M&A transactions and joint ventures.

She also has extensive experience in advising clients on new data-driven business models, including projects regarding repurposing of data, data monetization, data sharing (including Internet Of Things), profiling, direct marketing, artificial intelligence and big data. Sarah regularly assists clients with data protection and cybersecurity issues, including responding to incidents and regulatory investigations.
 
Her clients include both private entities and public bodies on a local and international level. She assists banks, insurance companies, credit card operators, hyperscalers, software providers, online marketplaces, drug discovery and healthcare companies, security companies, companies in the mining and energy sector and public governments.
 
Sarah completed the course “Law and Artificial Intelligence Program” at the Brussels School of Competition in 2021. In addition, Sarah is a member of the Technology Committee of the Flemish Bar Association since 2022 and is the author of various publications on her areas of expertise and a regular guest speaker at seminars and conferences. Sarah is a guest lecturer at the Law faculty of the University of Antwerp regarding outsourcing agreements.
 
In 2023, Sarah got selected as one of the “Belgium’s 40 under 40” due to her work in DE&I in the legal profession. She actively raises awareness on implicit biases in the legal sector by hosting a podcast on the topic and by speaking at several events and conferences. She focuses on inclusive leadership and is the chair of our DE&I Forum at A&O Shearman Belgium.
