Nick has over 20 years of experience advising on regulatory matters within the financial services sector. His clients include some of the world’s leading banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, private equity funds, FinTechs and other financial institutions.

Nick has a broad regulatory practice and particular areas of focus for him include: the regulation of the wholesale financial markets and financial market infrastructure (securities and derivatives sales and trading; trading venues and exchanges; payment systems; and clearing houses); digital and crypto assets, and uses of distributed ledger technology and tokenisation in innovative financial products and financial market infrastructure; prime brokerage, custody and securities financing; transaction banking and cash management services; and bank resolution and recovery, and ring-fencing.

Nick also has extensive experience of advising on the regulatory aspects of corporate M&A and ECM/DCM transactions, and insolvency and restructuring in the financial institutions sector. He acts for some of the leading global private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds on financial institutions M&A and private credit transactions.
