Ghazi AbuYounis

Senior Associate

Ghazi specializes in advising clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

His practice involves advising on a broad range of transactions including domestic and international project finance work including power, oil and gas, renewable energy and infrastructure projects acting for sponsors, financial institutions, export credit agencies and policy banks.

With a focus on project development, Ghazi has a wide range of experience that includes construction, procurement, operation, feedstock and offtake arrangements and broader commercial contract negotiations.

Ghazi spent a few years in London before transferring to the Dubai office in August 2023. Whilst in London, he spent a year on secondment to EDF Energy, working on all aspects of the construction of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant in the UK.

The ECAs and lenders (including CESCE, K-EXIM, K-SURE, SACE and UKEF) in connection with financing provided to Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) for the purposes of modernising its refinery.

EDF Energy on all aspects of construction of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant, expected to deliver next-generation clean, low carbon, nuclear energy to meet the UK’s future electricity needs.

The project company on the development of the Abour-Zubala 30-50MW wind farm in Jordan.

The sponsors on the construction of the Silvertown Tunnel.
