Bart is an employment law specialist who advises international and national companies on all matters concerning individual and collective employment, social security and pensions law.

He has particular experience in assisting listed companies as well as regulated institutions, with a particular focus on corporate and remuneration governance aspects of (executive) employment in listed and regulated environments.

He also has broad expertise in assisting clients with respect to the operation of their occupational pension schemes. More broadly, Bart also advises on workforce restructurings, collective bargaining, information and consultation, employment of executives, international mobility and employment aspects of M&A transactions.

Experience

Representative matters

A leading global provider of pharmaceutical compounding solutions listed on Euronext Brussels, advising on the design and implementation of a new long-term incentive plan (LTIP) for its executive leadership team.

A terminal infrastructure specialist, on the acquisition of four oil terminal sites, assisting on employment and pensions aspects of this transaction, as well as discussions with the W&I insurer on this deal.

A leading European manufacturer and distributor of personal care products, with respect to collective bargaining, employee representation and industrial action.

A Belgian multinational chemicals company, assisting in respect of the sale of its business to a US company and advising on employee transfer of undertaking arrangements, including information and consultations duties across multiple jurisdictions, transfer of pension arrangements and practical implications for employee representative bodies.
