Ross specialises in derivatives and structured finance transactions.

Ross has particular expertise in equity financing (in margin loan and derivatives format), structured finance and repackaging transactions. He advises leading international financial institutions and buy-side firms on the full range of OTC and securitized derivatives transactions across a spectrum of asset classes (including equity, credit, fund-linked, FX and rates) as well as asset-backed financing, complex cross-border financing solutions, repos and credit risk management.

Ross spent 13 years in Hong Kong where he co-headed the APAC Derivatives and Structured Finance team. Ross is recognised as a leading lawyer by major legal directories with clients remarking that he is "incredibly smart, commercial and hard-working on anything to do with derivatives and structured products". In addition to being prominent in many of the most significant equity financing transactions in Asia Pacific, he is also at the forefront of the firm's efforts at developing and rolling out proprietary IT solutions for clients of the firm, as he spearheaded the application of MarginMatrix in APAC, and devised TransforMatrix, an online tool that  automates the drafting of repackaging documentation.
