Robin advises both companies and individuals on complex, sensitive, cross-border investigations and litigation.

He has a particular focus on white collar defence, civil fraud and asset recovery proceedings.

Robin is an experienced litigator, adept at both defending and bringing cases involving parallel criminal, civil, employment and regulatory issues, often across multiple jurisdictions. This includes matters involving the UK Serious Fraud Office, National Crime Agency, Metropolitan Police, HMRC and Financial Conduct Authority, as well as other key international agencies such as the US DOJ and SEC.

Robin has advised on investigations and disputes across the financial services, life sciences, retail, transport, energy and mining sectors.

A US-headquartered multinational to successfully secure a $100m+ LCIA arbitration award and related asset recovery and criminal proceedings in multiple jurisdictions.

A former CEO of a UK plc in an SFO investigation into allegations of fraud, which was discontinued.

A UK corporate in relation to an HMRC investigation into potential criminal tax offences.

Multiple multinational organisations on internal investigations into allegations of bribery, money laundering, fraud and other criminal, civil and regulatory issues.

Pro bono

Robin began A&O Shearman’s partnership with Z2K Trust, a London-based anti-poverty charity. Through this initiative, Robin and many others at A&O Shearman have represented dozens of individuals navigating the UK’s complex disability benefits system, securing benefits for those individuals worth several millions of pounds.

Robin was seconded to Greece to assist European Lawyers in Lesvos in their work supporting refugees applying for asylum in the EU.
