He has a wealth of experience in handling loan and bond transactions, refinancings and restructurings, public takeovers, equity offerings, covered bonds, regulatory capital instruments, derivatives, and structured finance transactions. He also helps major financial institutions and corporations navigate the complex capital markets and financial regulations in the Czech Republic and develop their standard documentation for loans, securities, derivatives and other structured finance products. Petr is a member of the Czech National Bank's Remonstrance (Appeals) Committee and a renowned expert in covered bonds and other secured financings. He is consistently ranked as a highly sought banking and capital markets expert and a leading or recommended lawyer by Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.

Representative matters

Dr. Max group on their first retail bond issue on the Czech capital market in a total nominal value of CZK5bn.

Colt CZ Group SE (formerly CZG – Česká zbrojovka Group SE), a leading European producer of firearms, on its IPO and the listing of its shares on the Prime Market of the Prague Stock Exchange.

A subsidiary of a multinational financial institution, and other lenders, on the senior financing of Allwyn, EUR1.6bn, including a further increase of EUR335m.

Raiffeisenbank on its EUR500m issuance of senior non-preferred MREL-eligible sustainable notes issued under its international debt issuance programme. It is a transaction which is unique in the entire CEE region.

A subsidiary of a multinational financial institution on the 2022 update of its EUR7bn international mortgage covered bond programme and the subsequent three EUR500m mortgage covered bond issuances under the programme, including a first ever green mortgage covered bond issuance by a Czech bank.

Kommunalkredit Austria and Komerční banka (subsidiary of a multinational financial institution), on the syndicated leveraged infrastructure acquisition financing of Cube Infrastructure Fund III’s purchase of MVV Energie CZ, a leading Czech energy network. 
W.A.G payment solutions plc (Eurowag) on its EUR200m IPO on the London Stock Exchange.

Initial purchasers in relation to a EUR1.3bn high yield issuance by Allwyn. 
Česká spořitelna as joint lead manager and Komerční banka (subsidiary of a multinational financial institution) as joint lead manager and administrator in relation to CZK1.93bn Czech law-governed standalone bond issuance by Colt CZ Group SE (formerly CZG – Česká zbrojovka Group SE).

Česká spořitelna (a subsidiary of Erste) as sole arranger and coordinator and joint lead manager, and Komerční banka (subsidiary of a multinational financial institution) and Československá obchodní banka (a subsidiary of an insurance company) as joint lead managers, on two domestic issuances of Czech Koruna-denominated (CZK) bonds by NET4GAS, the Czech gas transmission operator, in a total volume of nearly CZK11bn.

Pro bono

Petr is a member of the Czech National Bank's Remonstrance (Appeals) Committee and a renowned expert in covered bonds and other secured financings.
