Mai Anh is Vietnam-qualified with more than a decade of experience. Her practice focusses on banking and project finance.
Mai Anh works with lenders, borrowers, developers and investors across a wide range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including project, corporate, real estate and aviation finance. She has particular expertise advising on renewable and thermal energy projects. She also advises on commercial and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, cross-border contracts and corporate governance.

Representative matters

Joint mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners on the USD950 million Euler Hermes-backed export credit to VinFast Trading and Production Limited Liability Company (“VinFast”), Vietnam’s first wholly domestic car manufacturer.

PCC1 and RENOVA Inc. on the development and financing of three wind farms (3x48MW) in Quang Tri province, Vietnam. The financing is certified by the Climate Bonds Initiative and was ADB’s first financing of a wind power project in Vietnam. Renewable Onshore Wind Deal of the Year, IJGlobal Awards 2022.

The lender on a green credit loan to BCG-SP Solar 1 for the development, operations and maintenance of a portfolio of up to 100MW of C&I rooftop solar PV power projects across various sites in Vietnam. Renewable Energy Deal of the Year - Solar, The Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Awards 2023.

ADB and Thai commercial lenders on the financing of a 50MW utility-scale solar power plant and transmission line in Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Zone, southern Vietnam. This transaction is one of the first large-scale international project finance transaction for a renewables project in Vietnam. Renewable Deal of the Year (Solar) – Vietnam, The Asset Triple A Infrastructure Awards 2021.
