Jonathan Heeringa

Partner

Jonathan is Managing Partner of the Netherlands and is experienced in both debt capital markets and asset-backed financing transactions. Jonathan has published articles on the European securitisations and co-authored part of The Banking Regulation Guide 2022 (Thomson Reuters, Practical Law) and regularly lectures for the postgraduate course Grotius.

Jonathan advises across the spectrum of debt capital markets, including convertible and exchangeable bond issues, debt programmes and drawdowns, liability management transactions (exchange offers and tender offers), securitisations and covered bond issues. He has a particular interest in corporate hybrid issues, regulatory capital issues by banks and insurance companies and ESG bonds (green/sustainable bonds and sustainability-linked bonds).

EUR300m: Dutch insurance group ASR’s Restricted Tier 1 issue.

USD800m: Aegon’s SEC-registered 30NC10 Solvency II compliant Tier 2 issue (first SEC registered Solvency II compliant tier 2).

EUR200m: NIBC Bank’s inaugural AT1 issue.

EUR500m: Alliander’s refinancing of a corporate hybrid bond.
