Jackie Donald

Senior Associate

Jackie who practices in the areas of Corporate, Commercial and Energy and Resources Law has extensive experience on a wide range of commercial transactions including takeovers, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and private equity.
Her broad experience extends to drafting and negotiating schemes and takeovers documentation, share and business sale agreements, joint venture and shareholders’ agreements and advising on corporate governance matters. Jackie also has considerable experience advising on inbound investments and, in particular, advising offshore clients on Australia's foreign investment regime.

Fortescue Limited on corporate governance matters and on project acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures in relation to its iron ore business, port and rail infrastructure and its green energy business.

A national petroleum and natural gas company on its acquisition of a strategic minority stake in a newly formed diversified global LNG company.

A national petroleum and natural gas company on its proposed acquisition of a significant stake in an independent retail fuels business.

OreCorp Limited on the demerger of its Australian subsidiary, Solstice Minerals and the subsequent IPO of Solstice Minerals on the Australian Stock Exchange, which successfully raised the maximum subscription of AUD12m.

Pro bono

Advising the Australian Water Safety on the Mekong Project Inc on legal liability of committee members.
