David has extensive experience in new money special situations financing, restructuring and insolvency. David advises the spectrum of stakeholders in special situations, restructuring and insolvency - including public companies and their boards, private equity and portfolio companies, special-situations investors, bank lenders, trustees and insolvency practitioners. His experience includes both non-contentious and also contentious restructuring and insolvency assignments.

David has particular experience in the real estate, mining and resources, energy, infrastructure, technology and private capital sectors. He has led major roles across significant projects including Greensill Capital (private capital and financials), Nature’s Care (manufacturing), Grainlink (agriculture and infrastructure), Schwartz hotels (real estate), Certane (financials), Altura Lithium (mining and resources) and Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (infrastructure).

David is recognised as a leading restructuring and insolvency lawyer in Australia across various directories, including Chambers, Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal and Doyle’s Guide.
