Catharina is a leading expert for data protection, cyber and technology laws.

She advises businesses on a wide range of emerging legal issues relating to data and information, Artificial Intelligence (AI), digitalization and technological developments, including digital transformation and digitalization, cloud and outsourcing projects and the respective contract negotiations. She regularly advises clients, often in regulated sectors, on the use of data analytics and big data, data pooling and AI. Catharina has extensive experience with data ethics, responsible AI and the launch of new digital and data driven ventures as well as privacy and AI matters on corporate M&A and tech transactions.

Catharina has significant experience with crisis management and assisted in a number of data incidents, personal data breaches and cyber-attacks and accompanied clients in several investigations by data protection authorities and post-incident litigation (e.g. on DSARs, damage claims).

In addition, Catharina is well versed in employee data matters, including on negotiating privacy and AI works agreements.
