Aroen specialises in general (investment grade) lending (including fund financing and receivables financing), real estate finance and restructuring and workouts of companies in financial distress.

His clients include a number of financial institutions, private equity firms, ASML, Royal Ahold Delhaize, Rituals, SuitSupply and Royal IHC Merwede.

Aroen has represented companies and financial institutions in a wide range of domestic and cross border corporate and multi-bank debt restructurings, and has acted on the first two large scale landmark Dutch Scheme (WHOA) proceedings in the Netherlands.

Aroen has particular expertise in advising consortiums of lenders on the new WHOA scheme. Clients appreciate that he is "knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with."
