Ainsley specialises in aviation finance and has broad experience advising global investment management firms, alternative investment firms, asset management companies, lessors, banks and airlines across the full spectrum of aviation matters including high profile debt and capital market transactions.
She has particular experience acting for purchasers and sellers on large portfolio deals (both loan and asset) and the related financings of such acquisitions.

Representative matters

A global investment management firm on all aspects of its set up and launch of an institutional financing platform offering innovative capital solutions to the global commercial aerospace industry and that same financing platform on all of its aircraft and engine debt financings to sponsors and lessors.

An issuer in connection with an aviation loan asset-backed securitization (ABS) in December 2023. The USD324.3m ABS is backed by a static pool of loan facilities secured by 19 narrowbody aircraft, 3 widebody aircraft and 4 narrowbody host aircraft engines on lease to 12 lessees located in 11 jurisdictions. Structured Finance Deal of the Year, Airline Economics 2024.

Falko Regional Aircraft Limited on its US$388.2m term loan financing in respect of up to 41 aircraft on lease to eleven lessees.

An issuer in connection with an aircraft loan securitization ‘SALT 2021-1’. SALT 2021-1 Trust issued a total of US$893,477,000 of notes backed by loans secured by 156 aircraft operated by 45 airline operators located in 29 jurisdictions. This was the aviation sector’s first broadly syndicated aircraft loan securitisation. ABS Deal of the Year, Airfinance Journal 2021 and Americas Capital Markets Deal of the Year, Airline Economics 2022.
