Our professional support staff are dedicated to ensuring business success through excellence in their support of the legal team.

We are always interested in hearing from people with exceptional experience in the professional support areas in Thailand. In all cases you should have a strong academic record, a commercial approach, the ability to think laterally, be pragmatic and well organised, be able to work in a team environment and adapt well to different cultural settings. You should also work well under pressure. In addition, you should be able to speak and write fluent English.

Business Development and Marketing

We provide a global capability of effective, coordinated and decisive legal advice. In order to achieve this we require high-quality support for Allen & Overy's activities. As with all our support functions, Business Development and Marketing is a key component in driving the business forward and enhancing our reputation for excellence and innovation.

We seek exceptionally talented individuals to join us. Business Services

The Business Services department covers a very wide variety of disciplines both locally and internationally. Across all areas, we seek to achieve the highest level of service and support for our internal customers and our clients. This is achieved by recruiting and retaining the best people. Business Services includes document production, front of house, despatch, procurement, stationery and archive management.

Across all areas, we are looking for professional, intelligent individuals who are highly customer-focused and who enjoy and understand the fast-paced legal environment.  

Finance

The Finance department is a key component in driving the business forward and enhancing our reputation. The department is highly computer automated, and growing at a rapid pace.

Human Resources 

Providing a full HR service to our lawyers is a vital part of our business and we look for the best to support the best. The HR function in Allen & Overy plays a highly important facilitating role in enabling the practice to attract, motivate and retain the best possible quality of staff at all levels.  Our global HR function is organised to reflect the international matricised structure of our business.

Legal PAs

About half of those working at Allen & Overy are support staff. The PA support is an increasingly sophisticated and demanding role, requiring greater use of technology and a wide range of skills.

We recruit significant numbers of legal PAs into all areas of Allen & Overy. As well as employing PAs with legal knowledge, we actively seek PAs from other industries, including banking, finance, insurance and accountancy firms.

In return for a high level of technical ability, professionalism, team spirit and flexibility, we offer our PAs an excellent salary and benefits package, together with an in-depth induction programme, technical training and a development programme. 

Library and Information 

Some 70 information professionals and library administrators work within our global Library service and practice groups. Roles reflect the global environment and individual expertise, and include research, collection management, training, finance management, current awareness, systems development and project management. The Allen & Overy Bangkok team is part of our global department.

Professional Support Lawyers 

Professional support lawyer (PSL) roles at Allen & Overy reflect the diversity of our international practice. We have over 50 PSLs worldwide, several at partner and consultant level, some working as part of know-how and training teams, others taking responsibility for a country's know-how development and management, or for specific projects.

We regard the PSL role as that of a 'lawyer plus'. Excellent technical legal skills are essential, but we look for confidence and dynamism too, and an aptitude for project and people management.
