Practices in Luxembourg

Banking & Finance

We advise on complex cross-border financings and domestic transactions in all major financial centres worldwide.

We are placed at the heart of the Luxembourg banking and financial markets and our clients include outward looking banks and finance houses. Few practices can match the quality of our people and our pioneering expertise.

In addition to the major restructurings that took place after the 2008/2009 financial crisis, we are seeing significant changes in the Luxembourg private banking sector, following discussions over Luxembourg banking secrecy and an increase in bank mergers and spin offs.

We provide intelligent and commercial advice in:

  • Financing and lending transactions, such as acquisition finance, asset finance, Islamic finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance and syndicated lending.

  • Restructuring and insolvency.

  • Regulatory issues, such as bank licensing, bank secrecy provisions, code of conduct, consumer credit regulations, contractual terms of business and money laundering.

  • Private banking.
