Experience: 

Ken Rivlin is head of Allen & Overy's Global Environmental Law Group, US Environmental and Regulatory Law Group and US Pro Bono Program. He and his team advise on environmental and regulatory risk in M&A, projects, capital markets, lending and real estate transactions, compliance with US and EU environmental requirements (such as the WEEE and RoHS Directives and REACH), emissions trading and climate change, environmental disputes, toxic tort risk, SEC disclosure requirements and corporate governance issues. Ken also advises on the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), dealings with OFAC-sanctioned countries, Exon-Florio and similar matters.

Ken is a member of the New York City Bar's Committee on International Environmental Law, Lecturer-in-Law at Columbia University School of Law and an Adjunct Professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He writes and speaks frequently on environmental and regulatory matters.

Ken is widely recognized as a leading international environmental lawyer. Chambers USA 2010 concluded: "Kenneth Rivlin of Allen & Overy LLP 'does a great job of integrating the realities of the client's business into his work.' He has an international practice, which covers a comprehensive range of US and EU requirements, disputes and climate change issues."
