Representative matters

  • Blackrock and Grain Management on their USD1.4 billion joint acquisition of a minority interest in Phoenix Tower International, operator of over 24,000 telecom towers across 23 countries in North America, western Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. 
  • A consortium comprising Carlyle, JLC Infrastructure, Ullico and Ferrovial on the USD9.5bn deal to develop, construct and operate the new Terminal One at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. 
  • Telenor Asia on the amalgamation of the telecoms operations of dtac and True in Thailand. The transaction is the largest telecoms merger in south east Asia to date, with the new company having a combined enterprise value of USD20.7bn, and serving an estimated 55 million mobile customers, 5 million broadband connections, as well as 3.2 million pay-TV subscribers. 
  • Ventient Energy on the EUR2.6bn refinancing of its existing debt financings and streamlining its capital structure to facilitate growth.
  • CDPQ on its USD5bn investment in DP World’s UAE ports, and on a number of subsequent refinancings.  
  • A syndicate of banks on the EUR1.1bn refinancing of the Istrian Epsilon project and the debt financing of the construction, management, maintenance of the new Phases 2B2-2 and 2B2-3 of the “Adriatic highway" in Croatia.
  • EQT Infrastructure VI fund on its EUR3.4bn acquisition of a 60% stake in a new company which will operate the Italian telecom provider Wind Tre's mobile and fixed network. 
  • OMERS Infrastructure Management in its acquisition of Leeward Renewable Energy from affiliates of ArcLight Capital Partners, and the related financing; and its acquisition of a 49% equity interest in a portfolio of wind farms from EDP Renováveis.
